Rooibos mixes well with many other flavours to create a multitude of unique teas. Here at the Gathering Place we are trying unique blends that exemplify and increase the healing attributes of our Rooibos.

Rooibos Organic Chai
The Gathering Place Chai (Ch-eye) soothes the body, mind and soul with its blend of all organic spices and organic Rooibos tea. Rooibos is perfectly blended with cardamom, cinnamon, fennel, cloves, black pepper, and ginger to create this incredibly soothing drink.
Chai means "spiced tea" and originated in India. North America has seized this tradition and Chai is fast becoming a household word. Traditionally, Chai is made with Black Tea, which packs a caffeine punch. We replace the Black Tea with Rooibos Tea, making a caffeine free Rooibos Chai which can be consumed all throughout the day. Many find it a soothing after dinner or bedtime drink. Chai is excellent for digestion and calming to the whole body.
We use fresh organic spices and hand blend the Rooibos Chai in small batches. Our top secret Organic Rooibos Chai recipe was hit upon after months of trials and taste tests with the many willing tea drinkers of Cortes Island. Thanks to all those folks who gave their input and helped create this special blend and to all our loyal customers across Canada who tell us this is their new favourite tea!
To Make Perfect Rooibos Chai
The Chai is evenly blended with all organic Chai spices and Rooibos tea.
100g package = 8-10 Litres of Chai
One tablespoon = 2 mugs of Chai
Put water into a pot, add desired amount of Chai mixture. Bring to a boil and turn down to a simmer immediately. Simmer for 10 minutes and enjoy the fragrant sweet aroma of brewing Chai filling your home!
Strain out tea and spices; add milk (soy or dairy) to taste. Add sweetener, if desired. Honey, maple syrup or organic cane sugar is the perfect complement to Rooibos Chai.
Yebo!
The Gathering Place Yebo! captures the spirit of two continents in a
single cup. The natural caffeine of our Brazilian Yerba Mate is
hand-blended with the mineral and antioxidant rich Rooibos to create a
nutritious and stimulating tea. Yerba Mate has been used for centuries
by many South American indigenous people as a nutritive tonic offering
outstanding antioxidants and health properties. Our Yerba Mate is
certified organic, unsmoked and direct from the producers in
Brazil. It’s slightly bitter taste is mellowed out by our Rooibos to
produce an excellent morning beverage, or late afternoon “pick me up”
tea.
Yebo! (which means YES is Zulu) offers an invigorating rush of energy
that wakes the mind but calms the nerves. Together, these indigeneous
and all organic herbs pack a powerful nutritional and health promoting
punch. Yebo is delicious with milk and sweetener or straight up. Say
